Motherhood has defiantly needed some getting use to, but i have made it through the first 6 weeks. It is really sad, Maggie is no longer considered a newborn. I have loved every minute so far. Maggie has been sleeping really well (she slept from 9:30 - 5 last night, and the only reason why she woke up was because mike and I woke to check on her and bumped her bassinet). On February 19 Maggie had a Appointment to check her weight, She was 8lb 3oz. So she is slowly growing (this is great considering she dropped to 7lb 2oz within two days of her birth), she is still a little peanut. She is healthy and nursing very well.
We love her big blue eyes...where she got blue eyes I have no idea. Aunt Alicia came out to take pictures of Maggie a couple weeks ago, as soon as we get the pictures finished we will get them up here.

Mia loves the baby. She is always bring us Maggie's hats and socks. (This is not Maggie's Binkie, it is one that we got as a gift the Maggie does not take. It is usually in a basket in the changing table, but mia brought it to us. We had to take a Picture)

Mike loves to show off Maggie.

Yum...Giovanni's, The best place for Fish n' Chips. Can you find Maggie? She loves her sling.

Over Valentine's/President's Day Weekend Mike and I decided to go on our first "family" vacation with Maggie. We drove out to the coast on Sunday after church.

My new Personal Progress Value Project
I am currently in the Young Women's Presidency. For those who may not know, they recently slightly changed the Personal Progress program, but one of the new things is that they have challenged the mothers and leaders of the Young Women to complete their Personal Progress and mentor a YW to get theirs.
As one of my goals for the 10 hour value project I have decided I want to learn how to sew. For one of my baby showers a good friend of mine made me a Car Seat Canopy. I LOVE IT. It keeps strangers hands from touching Maggie in the grocery store. It also is lightweight so I can use it when it is hot outside and just want to keep the sun off her face.
I had this friend teach me to make them....this is my final result. I made this one for a dear friend back in Utah. (Sorry Camaree if you see this and you have not received in the mail yet). I am also now making the cut designer wipe cases. I have decided to pursue this with my friend Stephanie, we are now looking at possibly selling them online and at boutiques. If you are interested in getting one of these from us let us know. I will post more pictures up later.

Hey Jack, I got your package the other day. I love it. Thank you so much. I can't believe how much you have been out and about with Maggie already, she's still so young. I haven't gone anywhere yet, of course there is still a foot of snow out here and it is below freezing so that makes a difference.
she's so adorable--and you look great! I'm glad you're adjusting well. Motherhood takes some getting used to--I hope you get your package soon!
